Biography: |
I am a self-taught guitarist who has been playing for 8 years. As well as guitar, I have also learned to play the harmonica, some piano, tin whistle and am also learning the uilleann bag pipes, all without instruction. With no formal training, my methods of instruction are individualized for each student's skill level and progression as opposed to a standardized curriculum. Although I have no degrees in music, any other musician I've played with will tell you that my skills are legitimate and I know my way around the guitar. I specialize in electric guitar but I also offer acoustic guitar lessons to students 10 and up. I am also a member of The National Association for Music Education. My lessons take place at my studio, The Painted Guitar School of Music and Art, in Pawling, NY.
