I teach at students' homes, and will teach in any of the boroughs of NYC, lower Westchester, Western Long Island, or Northeastern NJ. Please contact me for rates, scheduling, and with any questions you have.
I can also teach lessons via Skype for those not located near the NYC metro area.

Biography: |
I am offering guitar lessons for beginner, intermediate, and advanced guitar students of all ages.
In teaching, I focus on making sure to teach music and not just guitar - that is, while teaching skills specific to the guitar, I also integrate music theory, note reading, improvisation, and composition. I tailor lessons to individual students based on their musical interests, goals, skill level, and learning style. I can teach a variety of styles including blues, funk, jazz, rock and more.
I have been playing guitar for 18 years, have a BA in music (jazz focus), and have been teaching guitar for 6 years. I have played in and composed for a number of different groups. My main project currently is Afro-Funk band Ikebe Shakedown, signed with Ubiquity Records.
